Colombia es un Carnaval
The Colombian Student Association (COLSA) at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce its annual cultural event, the Colombian Night. The event is to be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, and we would like to cordially invite you to join us celebrate its 24rd edition. This year's event, titled "Colombia es un Carnaval," will center on the cultural and ethnic diversity across the different carnival events celebrated in Colombia.

The Colombian Night was conceived to recognize and promote the long-standing tradition of international awareness and cultural diversity at the University of Oklahoma, by showcasing popular folklore dances from South America, helping others become familiar with Colombian food, costumes, culture, and the diversity of its people. Throughout the years, the Colombian Night has become one of the most prestigious and recognized cultural events across campus and the surrounding communities, gathering hundreds of attendees from the Norman and Oklahoma City areas and surrounding cities and states.
In addition to sharing and promoting cultural diversity, one of the main goals of this event is to fundraise for COLSA's scholarship program, which, since 2001, has awarded 227 scholarships for a total of $266,800 dollars. This would not have been possible without the support of the amazing OU community and sponsors throughout all these years. Hence, besides extending an invitation to join our celebration, we also want to invite you to join efforts to make this event a success and support the scholarship program, which allows talented students to continue their education at the University of Oklahoma.
To do this, you can make a small financial contribution or become an official sponsor for the event. Any donation is welcome, and $30+ donations will receive a complimentary ticket. If you or your organization would like to become an official sponsor for the event, you will receive VIP tickets, along with an acknowledgment in the event program, and your logo will be displayed throughout the event.
